A terrible accident at Abakaliki Road, Ebonyi state yesterday, Friday, November 2nd, 2018. has led to the death of 3 Madonna University students. The accident according to reports happened after two buses collided, the buses got burnt to ashes, roasting three of the students alive. The students were said to be on their way to school from Jalingo when the incident occurred. The deceased are namely: Kerry Oliver a 200 level, Christabel and Rita they were all 200 level students. Others rushed to the hospital were identified as Stanley a final year student, Chidima Nwosu and Divine. See graphics pictures below...

Benue Killings: 24 Arrested, 19 Arraigned In Court – Owoseni

Owoseni stated this on Thursday during a telephone interview on Channels Television’s  Sunrise Daily  where he vowed to ensure that justice would take its course to serve as a deterrent to others. A total number of 24 suspects that have been arrested in connection with some of these cases which borders on culpable homicide, grievous hurt, and mischief by fire, the total number is 24. The number that have been arraigned in court are 19 while five of the cases are still being investigated,” he said. The CP said there would be no sacred cow in the fight against crime. He also promised to completely eliminate criminals as all those found guilty will be made to face the full weight of the law. He, however, noted that the state is currently enjoying relative peace due to the collaborative efforts of the police and the public.
